Magic is the reality we live in. The energy. It is the manipulation of these energies to create through our Higher Self. This can be done by linking to other entities, mainly those Masculine and Feminine powers. This is in relation to those Seven Hermetic Principles of Alchemy explained in Arcana 3. It does take meditation and practice.
Magic has been thought of by the general population as something mystical. This is more to do with not understanding what it is, and the science being kept hidden. For example, people use everyday technologies, but unless they study them, they have no idea of how they work at all. They know that they do. Magic is exactly the same.
You do not really need to know how Magic works in detail but have a general idea that it does. Whether one believes in Magic or not does not mean they can remain unaffected by it. As spiritual beings, we have this ability to create or destroy. Many of the events that happen around the world use Magic. In fact, Magic is everywhere.
Another name for Magic is Sorcery. The definition of this is that one uses their own Desire to create profit for oneself rather than help others. It is the most popular type that is being used in the world presently. There are many types of Magic, but Nature Magic is benevolent, though when the Pentagram is flipped, it invokes Baphomet.
Every entity has a Shadow Self; just as we do. Baphomet is the manifestation of the Shadow Opposite of Gaia and Tengri combined as a hermaphrodite. It is the Hermetic Principles as an opposite. An opposition against the Source. Normally, such an entity would have little influence, but many worship it and even become hermaphrodites too.
In Magic, we mix energies by using both the Material and the Astral Planes. This is usually done through meditation. It takes some practice to achieve this alternative state. When successful, one can communicate with their Higher Self and receive a link. Senses that have been in a dormant state, are now activated and strengthen.
